In our family-friendly campsite in the Basque Country, everything is designed to make your life easier: a welcoming bar-snack, Wi-Fi throughout the site, laundry facilities, fresh bread every morning in season, bikes for rent… The comfort of a 3-star establishment in a natural and authentic setting, just a stone’s throw from Saint-Jean-de-Luz beach!
Here, family hospitality has been our priority since 1965. Our team speaks French, Basque, English, Spanish, and German: we make sure everyone is well settled, informed, and comfortable from day one.

At our campsite near Bidart, the welcome begins well before you set down your bags. From the moment you arrive, our team is here to guide you, inform you, and make sure you have everything you need to fully enjoy your stay in the Basque Country. Reception, wifi, laundry, fresh bread in the morning (in season from May to September)… The little everyday services often make the difference between a good vacation and a great vacation.

Every day in season, fresh breads and pastries await you at the Snack. You can also enjoy a pleasant breakfast on the terrace. Our bar-snack welcomes you all day until 9:00 PM to share a breakfast, an ice cream, local charcuterie and cheeses, fries, or tomatoes from our vegetable garden! To meet all your needs, numerous leisure and comfort equipment is available on loan at the campsite reception.
The snack bar is open daily from mid-June to mid-September from 8:00 AM to 9:00 PM.

Our 3-star services for a successful vacation
A 3-star campsite 50 meters from the beach, Merko-Lacarra provides its vacationers with numerous service and comfort amenities. Campers on pitches will find new sanitary facilities, heated and equipped with complete individual bathrooms.
- New sanitary facilities, heated off-season with bathrooms (shower + sink), individual cabins, showers, sinks, toilets, enclosed dishwashing area, hot water at every facility and accessible to all. We lend hairdryers.
- Bus stop at the campsite entrance: www.txiktxak.fr
- A laundry with washing machine (environmentally friendly detergent provided), coin-operated dryer, an ironing area (iron lent if needed)
- Motorhome service area €6 reserved for our guests.
- In season, breakfasts are served on the terrace from 8:00 AM. If you prefer to have lunch at your pitch, bread and pastries from our local artisan baker are ready to be enjoyed.
- Hot and cold drinks, ice cream, crepes, waffles, various desserts, charcuterie platters, fries are available on-site or to take away for the enjoyment of young and old alike.

Campsite with playgrounds and activities in the Basque Country
Fenced play areas on synthetic grass are reserved for the little ones with slides. A hopscotch with beautiful large colorful mushrooms.
Paddles are available on loan so you can play ping pong, balls are available on loan to play pétanque on a bowling green.
